Black Friday

So last year for Black Friday we (hubby, sister, hubby's little bro and I) decided that we were gonna wake up ubber early (3:30am) and stand in line at Toys R Us with all those other crazies in hopes of getting that year's perfect gift. Yeah. We failed our mission. Those other crazies had been eating Thanksgiving dinner at the line so we were around the corner of the store. You would think that we wouldn't get shoved around since my sister was 5 and half months pregnant and belly was protuding. But naw.. those people are vicious. Don't get in the way of a mother and that toy of the year.

So this year we (minus my sister) decided to wait in line at Target. This year we woke up at 5:15 and were in line at 6am when the lines opened and guess what??? We got all the items that we had intended on getting!! Whoo hoo! Darn those Toys R Us mom from last year. I'm so happy...

This year I'm thankful for...

1. My sweet loving husband who puts up with my insanity.
2. My crazy, casino-loving parents who help me out whenever I need it.
3. My little sis who brought a life into the world early this year, Jakob Kenneth.
4. My nephew, Jakob Kenneth, my giggly big boy, who reminds me everyday that life is wonderful.
5. My bro who reminds me that sometimes we might just need time (and distance) to mend broken hearts.
6. My Ramirez family who show me on a daily basis that families are meant to be close.
7. My students who look at life's positive side and chat insatiably.
8. Life because without it I wouldn't be able to enjoy my 1 - 7.
